About the role: As a Warehouse Technical Operative at Macphie, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position combines technical expertise with operational support as you oversee the quality and integrity of our raw materials and finished products stored in the warehouse. Your key responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining technical and quality standards throughout the warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and conducting regular inspections and audits. You will collaborate with your team to ensure all incoming and outgoing products meet our stringent quality requirements and help to maintain a clean and safe workspace. Working shift pattern is Monday to Friday on a weekly rotation of early (06:00 to 14:30) and lates (14:00-22:30) with some flexibility required. (You will receive 5% late shift allowance when working this shift)
- Conduct regular inspections of incoming and outgoing products, documenting and reporting any discrepancies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout all warehouse processes.
- Assist in the training of new warehouse staff on food safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to support production schedules.
- Monitor the condition of storage areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to improve processes, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment or food manufacturing preferred.
- Understanding of food safety practices and quality control measures.
- Basic IT skills for inventory management systems.
