Are you an experienced cleaner with a passion for maintaining high standards and supporting others to achieve excellence? We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team and ensure exceptional levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance across our site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining practical cleaning duties with team leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing and office environment.

Working Hours

25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

  • Week 1: Between 06:00 – 14:00 (flexible start/finish within these hours, covering 5 hours per day)
  • Week 2: Between 17:00 – 22:00

This rotating pattern offers a mix of early and evening shifts across a two-week cycle.

Salary is £19,331 per annum (£14.87 per hour at 25 hours per week), based on a full time equivalent salary of £30,929.60.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic environment across our factories, offices, customer facilities, stores, and site accommodation.

Hands-On Cleaning Duties

  • Vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and surface cleaning
  • Cleaning toilets, washrooms, changing areas, communal spaces, and offices
  • Mopping and maintaining floors
  • Ensuring all cleaning schedules and checklists are completed to the highest standard
  • Maintaining cleanliness across all designated site areas

Team Supervision

  • Supervising and supporting the cleaning team on a daily basis
  • Organising rotas and allocating work efficiently
  • Conducting regular inspections and quality checks
  • Supporting internal audit requirements and hygiene standards
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training
  • Escalating performance, attendance, or conduct concerns where necessary

Stock & Equipment Management

  • Monitoring cleaning supplies, consumables, and toiletries
  • Coordinating replenishment of stock
  • Reporting faulty equipment and arranging repairs or replacements when required

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies, COSHH regulations, and company procedures
  • Promoting safe working practices within the team
  • Supporting audit requirements and maintaining hygiene standards
  • Following all data protection and company compliance requirements

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • A flexible, reliable, and positive approach to work
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and hygiene standards
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the site location

Desirable:

  • Previous supervisory or team-leading experience
  • Understanding of COSHH regulations
  • Experience working within factory, manufacturing, or food production
