We have an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team on the night shift in the role of Team Leader. The role will work closely with the other members of the night shift leadership team on shift and hold shared and specific responsibilities within the Bulk (pallet and pack storage) and order finishing/dispatch functions, reporting to the Senior Team Leader. There will be three direct reports and indirect responsibility for 20+ team members on any given day so the ability to lead and motivate a team is key to success in this role.

The Opportunity & Working Hours
We are looking for an established people leader to join our mutually supportive, hardâworking night shift leadership team. You will work 37.5 hours per week, leading teams through the night on 8âhour shifts between 8pm and 6am, Sunday through to Thursday.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Team Leader, you will have daily operational accountability for your teamâs workload within the Bulk storage and order finishing/dispatch departments. We have recently invested over ÂŁ10 million in our physical infrastructure and are installing an automated storage and retrieval solution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Directly manage three reports and indirectly lead 20+ team members daily, scaling up to manage a shift of over 70 people during peak periods. Identify training requirements and actively support continuous development.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all orders are dispatched accurately and consistently, and that customer stock is optimally located for efficient picking.
- Continuous Improvement: Engage your team in identifying process improvements, empowering them to influence positive change for a sustainable and costâeffective operation.
- Health & Safety: Ensure that all individual, team, and site health and safety policies are adhered to and given the highest priority.
About You
To succeed in our fastâpaced, peopleâfocused environment, you must be a great listener who can process information quickly and make effective decisions to meet customer demands.
Experience
You must have a minimum of two yearsâ experience leading a team of at least five people, ideally within logistics or a supply chain environment. You will have experience of working on Night Shift.
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for briefing teams, documenting meetings, and dealing with stakeholders. You must be PC literate with good working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.
Education
A minimum of Levels AâC or 7â9 GCSE/CSE in Maths and English.
Desirable
An IOSH Health and Safety Certification and a Level 3 ILM/CMI Leadership and Management qualification.
