We have a unique opportunity for a tech-savvy individual to join our IT team for a period of 12-24 months as an IT Trainee to support our night shift. During your time with us you will work mostly independently but with support from the wider IT team and you’ll gain hands on skills and experience that will enable you to provide excellent service to support the warehouse.
A typical day will involve equipment management, call and ticket logging, dealing with and resolving day-to-day issues such as using company systems and applications, and escalating issues to external suppliers and team members, where required.
There aren’t any essential IT qualifications or experience needed to be considered for this role, we just ask that you:
- Love to learn new things,
- Are motivated by working independently,
- Are super keen to take on a new opportunity and challenge,
- Care about what you do each day,
- Can operate and navigate a PC with ease,
- Can communicate with others both verbally and written,
- Are interested in IT,
- And, can work flexibly and well within a small team.
As part of this role, you’ll be required to complete an IT apprenticeship which will provide you with a formal qualification, and a great start in a different career! Support will be provided throughout your apprenticeship but you must be prepared and able to undertake training.

Salary: £25k per annum plus a 20%-night shift allowance
Hours of work: Onsite Sunday to Thursday (inclusive) 8pm – 4am. You may also be asked to support on ad hoc basis for the remainder of the night shift where critical issues arise but this will be minimal. You will be required to be flexible with your working hours and your shift pattern may alter within night shift operational hours. For the first three months, you will work on dayshift between 7am and 5pm (8 hours on a rotational basis) to receive training and support.
