I am working exclusively with a group of private care homes to recruit for an interim Regional Employee Relations Specialist – South of England.
Length of assignment – 3 months to start mid June 2025. This role is home based and covering the South of England. Salary is c £52,000 plus expenses. A driving license and car will be essential for this role. This patch will include Devon, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Suffolk and Worcestershire. You will manage your own diary with an expectation to be visiting sites 3 days a week.
Job purpose
You will provide advice and guidance on a range of employee relations matters including performance, conduct, engagement and compliance. Working with the People Business Partner to ensure that change initiatives align to the legal framework of people management and are implemented following legal requirements and best practice approaches.
Some duties
- Provide a full range of employee relations advice, support and guidance to managers across the organisation that follows legal requirements and seeks to achieve best practice.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on complex cases, including preparing for formal processes such as capability, grievance and disciplinary processes and the preliminary stages of employment tribunals.
- Provide guidance and support on the completion and meeting of technical requirements relating to consultation exercises to make changes to roles, teams and departments.
Experience needed
Appropriate and proven Employee Relations case work management experience, including but not limited to disciplinary processes, grievance, absence management and claims of harassment and bullying. Demonstrable experience in analysing and risk-managing cases, delivering appropriate solutions are essential for this role.
To be successful in this position you will need a keen eye for detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of employment law and HR practices. Staying updated on developments in employment legislation, case law, and best practices in the UK is essential in this role. This organisation is unfortunately not able to offer sponsorship.
