Macmillan Davies are working on behalf of a growing life sciences organisation who are seeking an experienced HR Manager to support the Chief People Officer in delivering a high-quality, People function. This is a true generalist role, blending strategic people partnering with hands-on operational delivery.
This role will see you act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, manage day-to-day HR operations, and help build strong foundations across HR processes.
Main duties include:
- Provide people partnering and employee relations support across the business.
- Deliver end-to-end HR operations including contracts, onboarding, policies and compliance.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning as required.
- Support performance management, development, reward and benefits processes.
- Produce accurate people data and reporting to inform business decision-making.
- Contribute to wellbeing, engagement and culture initiatives.
- Partner with the CPO on HR projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
- CIPD Level 5 (Level 7 desirable) with around 3-5 years' HR generalist experience.
- Solid working knowledge of UK employment law (US/Ireland exposure desirable but not essential).
- Approachable, pragmatic and people focused.
- Comfortable balancing strategic input with hands-on HR administration.
- Highly organised and confident managing competing priorities.
- Collaborative, resilient and adaptable in approach.
This role would best suit a supportive, strategic problem-solver who thrives on building impactful people practices as well as remaining hands-on with day-to-day HR delivery. This role will be initially 4 days per week, with scope to increase as the role evolves.
