Senior Solicitor / Lawyer — Fixed-Term Contract 9 Months; Full-time (34.5 hours per week). We are open to a conversation about how you work these hours. Location: Split between home and our London Office: minimum office attendance once a fortnight. Salary: £72,000 - £78,000 per annum.

About the roleIn this high-impact role, you ll use your extensive legal expertise to support our new organisational strategy. You ll be instrumental in helping us design and implement:
Grant-making frameworks and partnership agreements
Innovative social investment models for the NHS
Contracts with a range of external stakeholders
You ll play a key role in enabling Macmillan s strategic goals through robust legal advice, high-quality drafting, and pragmatic problem-solving. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your commercial legal skills in a purpose-driven context helping us reach and support more people affected by cancer.
About youThe successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Qualification as a Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales
- Experience in contract and commercial law
A track record of drafting grant-making agreements and/or social investment deals would be hugely advantageous - Ideally, working knowledge of charity law and experience in-house or with public/voluntary sector bodies (e.g. charities, NHS, statutory agencies)
- The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload, while contributing to a collaborative, values-driven team
