We are looking for a Primary Care Clinical Adviser from a nursing or allied health professional background to join our Centre of Clinical Expertise (CoCE) team. The CoCE provides clinical insight, guidance and builds credibility with clinical audiences on behalf of Macmillan, so we are seen as a trusted, relevant, and up-to-date, clinically informed organisation. The purpose of this role is to advise and specifically inform one of our four strategic objectives to support people with cancer and other long‐term conditions.
As a subject matter expert you will draw on clinical skills and experience to support, service and guide internal programmes of work, provide clinical leadership, insight and expertise in the management of people with long term conditions in primary care and bring an in-depth understanding of the health and social care landscape and experience of system leadership to our work programme focused on shifting care outside the acute hospital setting alongside GPs and other teams in Macmillan. You will feed clinical insight to key internal stakeholders to inform relevant projects and work‐plans, and advise on strategic programmes including our membership offer across the organisation.

- Engage with Integrated Care Boards, Cancer Alliance and other networks.
- Provide clinical leadership and insight across the CoCE team.
- Qualification and continued registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a nurse or the Health and Care Professions Council as an Allied Health Professional (essential).
- Recent experience in primary care, supporting people with long term conditions (essential).
- Experience in a presentational or influencing role in primary care, Integrated Care Boards, Cancer Alliance and/or other relevant networks (essential).
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communicator with an engaging style.
