Python Tech Lead – INSIDE IR35 – Fully Remote

My client, a global consultancy is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to oversee the development and delivery of large-scale, high-volume SaaS-based data platforms. This is a fully remote contract role, offering an exciting opportunity to lead engineering teams and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor engineers and cross-functional teams in delivering platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to design and assess technical solutions.
• Drive the planning, management, and execution of internal and cross-functional projects.
• Act as a subject matter expert on development platforms and services.
• Stay up to date with platform and service roadmaps.
• Partner with engineering teams globally to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Champion best practices in software development and engineering excellence.
• Remove technical blockers and resolve security and operational incidents.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with technology, product, and operations teams.
• Identify and address inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks within engineering processes.
• Report on OKRs and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide support and collaboration to other Tech Leads across the organisation.
• Be hands-on with scripting, coding, and system builds where required.
• Take ownership of tasks assigned by the Director of Technology for Europe.

Key Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Developer/Engineer.
• 3+ years’ experience leading engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in Python, JavaScript (React/Angular), and Java.
• Strong background in designing and delivering SaaS-based data platforms.
• Proven ability to drive technical strategy and lead high-performing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
