Our client, a leading global organisation, is partnering with a prestigious end client based in West Sussex. We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a talented Golang Engineer to join a dynamic and agile development team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.

Duration:

Location:

Hybrid/Remote – West Sussex

Skillset required:

1. Excellent knowledge in Golang and Kafka
2. Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
3. Experience developing backend systems
4. Solid background in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) development
5. Experience with ALM, JIRA
6. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and tools like Docker and Kubernetes
7. Strong problem solving, analytics, and debugging skills

Desirable Skills:

1. Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
2. Understanding of BDD/TDD
3. Hands-on experience with UNIX commands

Key responsibilities:

1. Work as part of an agile team to deliver features with your focus being on designing and developing Golang based microservices/APIs
2. Lead and implement best practices in the team such as consistent branching strategy, coding standards, BDD/TDD, CI/CD and DevOps
3. Involvement in every step of the software development life cycle, from design, development, testing, release changes and troubleshoot whenever necessary
4. Follow the Scrum Methodology, participating actively in sprint backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint review and sprint retrospective
5. Support other team members and teams with sharing your knowledge and implementing innovative solutions that can be used across platforms
