The successful candidate will use their compassion and clinical experience to help deliver exceptional levels of resident care to individuals who have a variety of mental health conditions. This role is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the mental health field while working in a supportive and dynamic team.
About The Role
- Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating and mobility.
- Collaborate positively with residents who may present challenges.
- Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive, and resident-accessible care plans.
- Encourage and support residents in managing their medication effectively.
- Assist residents in building their skills and fostering independence.
- Help residents with daily living tasks, including personal care, shopping, and household responsibilities.
- Assist in scheduling and accompanying residents to medical and personal appointments.
- Maintain accurate manual and electronic documentation.
- Ensure adherence to house rules to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Maintain open and positive communication with colleagues, residents, and visitors.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a mental health environment with the necessary level of care.
- Familiarity with The Mental Health Order (1986) and its practical application.
- Understanding current approaches to mental health care and treatment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Strong ability to manage challenging situations constructively.
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment for residents.

- Must be in good general medical health.

- Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Current and/or previous experience in a Mental Health support role within a Care Home environment.
