The successful candidate will use their compassion and clinical experience to help deliver exceptional levels of resident care to individuals who have a variety of mental health conditions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating and mobility.
  • Collaborate positively with residents who may present challenges.
  • Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive, and resident-accessible care plans.
  • Encourage and support residents in managing their medication effectively.
  • Assist residents in building their skills and fostering independence.
  • Help residents with daily living tasks, including personal care, shopping, and household responsibilities.
  • Assist in scheduling and accompanying residents to medical and personal appointments.
  • Maintain accurate manual and electronic documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to house rules to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with colleagues, residents, and visitors.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a mental health environment with the necessary level of care.
  • Familiarity with The Mental Health Order (1986) and its practical application.
  • Understanding current approaches to mental health care and treatment.
