About this role

Purpose of the Role: The Managing Director is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, growth and strategic development of Macklin Care Group. The role carries full accountability for operational performance, care quality, workforce effectiveness, financial results, governance, culture and long-term sustainability across all services operated by the Group.

The Managing Director will lead the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring exceptional care outcomes, strong commercial performance, and sustainable growth across residential, nursing, specialist, and workforce services. Working closely with the CEO, Board and senior leadership team, the postholder will translate strategic ambition into operational delivery, building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation and excellence.

The Managing Director is ultimately accountable for the successful performance and growth of all current and future services within Macklin Care Group.

Success in This Role: Success will be measured by the ability to build a high-performing organisation that consistently delivers exceptional care, develops outstanding leaders, achieves strong financial results and creates a sustainable platform for future growth. The Managing Director will ensure Macklin Care Group is recognised as a leading provider of high-quality care and workforce services through a combination of exceptional care standards, operational excellence, leadership strength and commercial performance.

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Direct Reports: Finance Director, Director of Operations, Group HR Manager, Contracts and Facilities Manager, Business Development Managers.
