Registered Staff Nurse – Milesian Manor Care Home

Location: Milesian Manor Care Home, 9 Ballyheifer Road, Magherafelt, Northern Ireland

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in partnership with a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Administer medicines, maintain resident records, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Provide professional support and guidance to care staff.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC, RQIA, HSCT and health‑and‑safety regulations.
  • Promote the quality of life and well‑being of residents.

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with an active NMC registration.
  • Current knowledge of PREPP, Primary Nursing, Care Planning, and the Patients Charter dealing with elderly care.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (RQIA, HSCT, health and safety guidelines).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work within a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Capacity to manage and prioritise workload while maintaining high care standards.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient‑centred approach to care.
  • Commitment to safeguarding residents.
  • Availability for set hours and flexibility to meet organisational needs.
  • Good command of written and spoken English; valid UK work permit.
  • Good general medical health (medically fit).

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in a nursing or care‑home environment.
  • Management experience with a care team.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and organise staff.
