We are actively recruiting a Relief Senior Support Worker to deliver exceptional resident care to individuals with a variety of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
  • Collaborate positively with residents who may present challenges.
  • Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive, and resident‑accessible care plans.
  • Encourage and support residents in managing their medication effectively.
  • Help residents build skills and foster independence.
  • Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, shopping, and household responsibilities.
  • Assist in scheduling and accompanying residents to medical and personal appointments.
  • Maintain accurate manual and electronic documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to house rules to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with colleagues, residents, and visitors.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working within a Mental Health Unit/Facility.
  • Previous experience in a mental health environment with the necessary level of care.
  • Empathetic, patient and compassionate in nature.
  • Understanding of types of mental health illnesses and the level of care residents will require.
  • Current and/or previous experience in a Mental Health support role within a Care Home environment.
  • Familiarity with The Mental Health Order (1986) and its practical application.
  • Understanding of current approaches to mental health care and treatment.
  • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) – desirable.

  • Strong ability to manage challenging situations constructively.
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment for residents.
  • A proactive approach to promoting resident independence and well‑being.
  • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
