Job Purpose The MEICA Design Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the MEICA design packages on the Havant Thicket Reservoir Project.
Responsible for managing and updating the MEICA aspects of the project programme with the assistance of our project programmer.
The MEICA Design Manager will have both technical competencies and practical experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary MEICA projects as Design Manager.
Responsibilities Understand the clients requirements and review the suitability of the proposed solution given the constraints of the site.
Review design submissions before issuing to the client.
Coordinate and submit suitable responses to client comments in a timely manner.
Instrumental throughout the planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of projects.
Conduct site asset surveys at scoping stage and commissioning / handover stage.
Lead in reviewing mechanical design, specification, equipment orders and schedules.
Liaise with operations and maintenance staff during initial scope and upgrade works.
Liaise with and lead stakeholders engagement throughout design and commissioning stages.
Attending design and progress meetings, tender handover and pre start meetings.
Effective commercial engagement to manage risk and performance.
