Reporting to the Shift Manager/Production Supervisor, the Trainee Skilled Machine Operator will learn to operate production machinery safely and efficiently, supporting the team in delivering high-quality products. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to develop technical skills and gain experience in machine operation within a food manufacturing environment. Rate of Pay: Β£15.74 per hour, plus Β£2 per hour time and attendance night-shift bonus Main Responsibilities: Assist in the operation of machinery under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Learn to identify and report machine faults, escalating issues to experienced operators or supervisors. Support cleaning and basic maintenance tasks as part of training. Work towards meeting production targets with guidance from senior team members. Monitor equipment output and report any irregularities promptly. Participate in safety checks and understand health and safety requirements. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the work area. Report any non-conformances immediately to management.
