The Trainee Skilled Machine Operator will learn to operate production machinery safely and efficiently, supporting the team in delivering high-quality products. This role is designed for individuals wanting to develop technical skills and gain experience in machine operation within a food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation of machinery under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Learn to identify and report machine faults, escalating issues to experienced operators or supervisors.
- Support cleaning and basic maintenance tasks as part of training.
- Work towards meeting production targets with guidance from senior team members.
- Monitor equipment output and report any irregularities promptly.
- Participate in safety checks and understand health and safety requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the work area.
- Report any non-conformances immediately to management.
- Engage in training sessions and demonstrate progress in machine operation skills.
- Commit to Health & Safety practices, including wearing PPE and following company standards.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive environment.
- Accurately record downtime and raw material usage under supervision.
- Be prepared for physically demanding tasks, including occasional lifting of loads up to 25kg.
- Comply with all company rules, policies, and procedures.
