We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Quality Administrator to support the Quality Department in maintaining food safety, quality standards, and compliance within the factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality-related documentation, sample management, compliance checks, and providing administrative and operational support to the Quality team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, review, and file quality and production documentation, including production records, oil and flavouring paperwork, intake records, and dispatch documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and traceability by matching pre-advice paperwork with dispatch paperwork.
- Manage retained samples, including maintenance of retained sample pallets and sourcing samples when required.
- Coordinate the collection, logging, and shipment of raw material and laboratory samples for analysis.
- Request Certificates of Analysis (COAs) from suppliers when applicable.
- Carry out routine quality and compliance checks, including fridge and freezer temperature monitoring, PPE compliance checks, metal detection controls, and first aid box inspections.
- Complete end-of-life product taste scoring and quality assessments.
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are consistently upheld within the factory environment.
- Support Quality Control operations on the production floor when required.
- Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Supervisor with day-to-day quality tasks and audits as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a quality, technical, or food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Good understanding of food safety and quality standards.
- Confident with paperwork, record-keeping, and administrative processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
