The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of supply chain, production planning and customer service for our Malvern production plant. This role will ensure efficient and cost-effective production workflow, manage inventory, coordinate and optimize the flow of raw materials and finished goods in line with global requirements, and collaborate with various departments (both in Malvern and globally) to achieve seamless operations and meet our production/supply goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage the UK Supply Chain and Production Planning team.
- Production Planning: Develop and oversee production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products and meeting global supply demands. Forecast production needs in collaboration with global supply for short and long term.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage the procurement of raw materials, oversee supplier relationships, and ensure the timely delivery of materials to support production, including fermentation.
- Inventory Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels, monitor stock, and develop strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs whenever possible balancing with relevant category manager’s needs.
- Process Optimization: Evaluate and propose improvement in production processes for efficiency gain - implementing lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' of supply chain experience.
- Manufacturing experience is required.
