The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to drive growth across the UK market for a cutting-edge laboratory automation and AI-enabled workflow platform. This is a high-impact, consultative sales role where you will engage with senior stakeholders, identify opportunities to improve research productivity, and deliver enterprise-level solutions that create measurable value for customers. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a genuine interest in scientific innovation and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to drive new business and revenue growth across the UK.
- Identify, qualify, and convert opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, and materials science organisations.
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, technical stakeholders, and key decision-makers.
Requirements
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of successful sales experience within life sciences, laboratory technology, scientific instrumentation, automation, chemicals, or materials science sectors.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Experience selling complex, high-value solutions involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
- Strong network within research, development, and innovation-focused organisations.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior executives, scientists, and technical teams.
- Experience using CRM platforms to manage pipelines and forecasts.
- Naturally curious, commercially driven, and motivated by solving customer challenges.
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role and travelling as required.
