Mackinnon Bruce, on behalf of a long-standing client, is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional to join a leading organisation within the decorative surfaces and interior building materials sector, as a Specification Sales Manager based in London.
This position is focused on developing relationships across the Architecture & Design (A&D) community, securing project specifications, and supporting projects from concept stage through to completion. The successful candidate will operate from a London showroom base while engaging regularly with architects, interior designers, and project stakeholders across the city.
Key Responsibilities- Build and develop relationships with architects, interior designers, and key specification contacts across London.
- Identify and win new specification opportunities within the A&D community.
- Secure product specifications and manage projects through to completion.
- Work closely with Area Sales Managers and internal teams to convert opportunities into sales.
- Maintain accurate project and pipeline information within the CRM system.
- Represent the business within the London showroom, delivering product presentations and hosting client meetings.
- Organise and deliver CPDs, lunch-and-learn sessions, and other customer events.
- Attend industry exhibitions, networking events, and client functions.
- Coordinate samples, product literature, and materials for customers and projects.
- Ensure excellent customer service and a professional brand experience at all times.
- Proven experience in specification sales, A&D sales, interior products, surfaces, furniture, or design-led building materials.
- Existing relationships within the London architecture and design community highly desirable.
- Strong commercial mindset with experience winning specifications and developing project pipelines.
- Confident presenter with experience delivering CPDs or group presentations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proficient with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
