Our client is a leading European developer and owner/operator of utility-scale renewable energy infrastructure. They have a substantial portfolio of built and operating assets across battery storage, solar and wind.
As the business scales the European portfolio, we're looking for a Procurement Manager for the sourcing and contracting for EPC services and high voltage equipment across the project pipeline.
The Role: You'll lead the procurement of EPC contractors and critical high voltage equipment (transformers, switchgear, grid connection assets) across battery storage, solar, and wind projects. Working closely with development, engineering, and construction teams, you'll manage supplier tendering, contract negotiation, and commercial risk from early-stage project development through to construction handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement of EPC contracts and high voltage equipment packages across the UK and European project pipeline
- Develop and manage supplier and OEM relationships, negotiating commercial terms, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Run competitive tender processes, evaluate bids, and manage contract award decisions
- Track equipment lead times and market conditions (particularly transformer and switchgear supply constraints) to protect project timelines
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, construction, legal, and project finance teams to align procurement with project milestones
- Manage supplier performance, contract compliance, and commercial risk throughout project delivery
- Support cost control and budget management across procurement spend
What We're Looking For:
- Proven procurement experience in renewable energy, BESS, grid infrastructure, or utility-scale power projects
- Strong track record negotiating EPC contracts and high voltage/electrical equipment agreements
