We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join clients our team and support the planning, design, and optimization of open pit mining operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of ore and waste materials while maintaining compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize short-term and long-term mine plans for open pit operations.

Design pit layouts, haul roads, waste dumps, and other surface infrastructure.

Conduct pit optimization studies using appropriate mine planning software.

Monitor and report on production performance against schedules and budgets.

Work closely with geologists, surveyors, and operations teams to coordinate mining activities.

Provide technical support for drill and blast design, equipment selection, and material movement.

Ensure all mining activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in open pit mining operations Proficiency in mine design and planning software (e. g., Surpac, Vulcan, Mine Sight, Deswik, or similar).

Strong understanding of pit optimization principles, drill and blast design, and mine scheduling.

Solid knowledge of open pit equipment, operations, and safety practices.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing project requirements.
