We are working alongside a leading Pre-Clinical CRO specialising in Neuroscience to hire a Scientist for their site in Sandwich, Kent.
The role is based in Sandwich, Kent. Reporting to the Site Director, as part of their expansion they are searching for a scientist for their Pain research teams.
This lab-based role (on-site) will be to develop and execute relevant disease in vivo models to generate robust pharmacological and disease‑relevant biological data for preclinical research studies for biotech or pharma companies.
Working hours: 7am – 3pm, 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm (dependent on candidate’s & lab work needs).
Requirements:
- Graduate level science or veterinary degree with significant relevant lab-based experience, preferably in Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Veterinary Sciences, Biology, Neuroscience or a related discipline.
- Higher degree of PhD or Masters considered advantageous but not essential.
- Preclinical expertise in rodent disease models is essential.
- 2‑3 years’ experience managing projects, research activities, and collaborative initiatives in a science delivery environment.
- Expertise in the design, development and validation of preclinical studies for compound efficacy profiling and screening including analysing data and report writing.
