We are working with a well-established, privately owned engineering business specialising in high-performance packaging automation solutions. Known for its innovation, customer-first mindset, and long-term partnerships, this company has been delivering advanced machinery to global customers for over four decades.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Area Sales Manager (UK) to drive regional sales performance and expand their market presence.
The Role
As Area Sales Manager, you will take full ownership of your region, managing existing accounts while developing new business opportunities. This is a consultative, solution-led sales role requiring strong technical understanding, commercial insight, and the ability to translate customer needs into tailored proposals. You will work closely with engineering, service, and internal sales teams to ensure customers receive outstanding support throughout the sales cycle. This role is highly customer-facing and requires frequent travel.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and executing a regional sales strategy
- Growing existing customer relationships
- Identifying and developing new customers and markets
- Creating value-based technical and commercial proposals
- Leading negotiations and closing complex deals

What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in capital equipment, automation, robotics, or complex machinery sales

- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Analytical and commercially strategic thinker
- Willingness to travel frequently (including internationally)
- Hands-on, driven, and results-oriented
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or similar
- Native-level English (additional languages a plus)
