Location - Hybrid (3 days in the office). Our client is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to support a busy and fast‑paced UK communications team. The role is a fixed‑term contract of 12 months and based in London.
Responsibilities:
- Help to run a fast‑paced and busy reactive and proactive UK press office, including drafting statements, op‑eds, social content and newsroom posts as needed.
- Work with EMEA and global comms colleagues, cross‑functional teams in Policy, Legal and Community Operations, and our external agency team to ensure we respond to high‑priority media inbounds in a timely way.
- Develop and maintain relationships with tier 1 media in the UK.
- Work with our agency team on communicating our proactive announcements and moments to the right audiences through both earned press and social content.
- Support UK team’s key proactive communications campaigns as and when needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a busy press office environment - ideally with experience working in tech and/or high‑profile consumer‑facing brands.
- Adept at using AI in day‑to‑day work.
- Experience working with or managing external agency teams.
- Proven ability to work at pace and scale across multiple teams towards common goals, with demonstrable examples of having worked cross‑functionally.
- Ability to grasp and understand multiple complex global Meta policies, distilling down how they might impact at a UK level.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Good judgement, ability to multitask and prioritise.
