This Technical Lead role sits at the centre of financial reporting and transaction activity, supporting frequent acquisitions and complex group accounting requirements. The role will act as the technical authority on IFRS, ensuring robust acquisition reporting, impairment assessments, and consistent accounting treatment as the group continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical accounting for a highly acquisitive group, including acquisition accounting, purchase price allocations, and post-deal reporting.
- Own impairment reviews across the group, including assumptions, modelling, and documentation of key judgements.
- Provide technical leadership on revenue recognition across complex and evolving revenue streams.
- Develop and maintain group accounting policies in line with IFRS, with particular focus on IFRS 3 and IFRS 9.
- Monitor the impact of new accounting standards and ensure timely, practical implementation.
- Act as a key technical contact for auditors and advisors, particularly on acquisition-related matters.
About You
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with strong post-qualification experience.
- Proven technical accounting background within acquisitive or complex group environments.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 3, IFRS 9, impairment, and revenue recognition.
- Confident communicator able to partner with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
