A specialist fixed‑term finance role focused on student loans, bursaries, scholarships and tuition fee funding. Ideal for candidates with hands‑on student finance and Higher Education experience, particularly working with student loans and complex data sets.

This role sits within the Finance team during a period of high operational demand and is offered on a 6‑month fixed‑term basis. The postholder will support the accurate review and correction of student funding and fee records, working closely with the Registry team, who provide regulatory oversight but rely on this role’s specialist student finance expertise.

  • Work with large data sets (500+ student accounts) to identify discrepancies and required actions
  • Maintain and correct student funding and fee records across multiple finance and student systems
  • Work closely with Registry, Student Services and internal finance teams to validate data accuracy
  • Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for student finance‑related queries
  • Support reconciliations, reporting and audit activity

You will be responsible for the detailed investigation and administration of student funding transactions across several systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

  • Investigate discrepancies relating to loans, bursaries, scholarships and fee funding
  • Work across multiple systems, including student finance platforms, Agresso and a CRM system
  • Process scholarships, bursaries, discounts and funding adjustments as required
  • Raise invoices and credit notes linked to student accounts where necessary
  • Proven experience in student finance, student loans or Higher Education finance operations
  • Highly comfortable working with large, complex data sets and resolving inconsistencies
  • Systems‑savvy, with experience using multiple finance or student record systems and the ability to pick up new platforms quickly

6‑month fixed‑term contract. Hybrid working: typically 3 days in the office, 2 from home. 30 days annual leave plus Christmas closure days (pro‑rata). Excellent pension options and wider university benefits. Campus‑based role at an office based in South-West London.
