A prestigious arts and heritage organisation is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for an initial 10-week interim contract. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK’s most iconic cultural institutions and make a real impact during a period of operational transformation.You'll be stepping into a high-profile environment at a crucial time — helping a talented and committed Finance team tackle a backlog of work, embed changes to systems and processes, and support key reporting activity across the organisation. If you enjoy variety, flexibility, and working with purpose, this could be a great fit.The Role:
- Support the Management Accounting team during a period of change and backlog
- Assist with posting journals and month-end processes
- Help, maintain and improve processes with the Unit4 accounting system
- Support reporting on restricted and unrestricted funds
- Contribute to improving finance workflows and templates across the team
- Work closely with a collaborative finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance
- No dedicated portfolio – you’ll be floating across different tasks and areas of support
The Successful Candidate:
- You must have experience working with Unit4 accounting software, this is a non negotiable requirement
- Strong management accounting experience including journal posting and month-end reporting
- Ideally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), though other qualifications or QBE will be considered
- Charity experience desirable but not essential
- Comfortable working flexibly and picking up varied tasks quickly
- Able to start before September, though sooner is preferred
What’s on Offer?:
- Flexible working – open to remote working, with access to a beautiful central London office if preferred central London should you wish to come in.
- 10-week contract, though future opportunities may arise
- Interviews will be held week of the 4th August
- Exclusive to Mackie Myers
- circa £300 per day (inside IR35)
