Finance Business Partner (City of London)

Our Client

Mackie Myers is supporting a higher education institution based in London to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner.

The Role

As Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will be a key member of the FP&A team. You will provide business partnering support and analysis to the commercial and business development teams across the university and be responsible for forecasting, analysis, reporting and budgeting. This is an exciting opportunity to add tangible value within the team, aiding in decision-making for the university.

Main Duties

• Provide financial leadership for designated areas of the university
• Primary responsibility for all costings and financials for new and existing partnerships / joint ventures / and new business initiatives
• Provide analysis on month end, forecast and planning numbers
• Seek out and implement continuous improvement opportunities in processes, reporting, cost savings and increased profitability
• Provide complete business finance support, from outset to implementation, for new programmes/collaborations proposals
• Provide business finance support for the annual business plans

The Successful Candidate

• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to build strong business relationships
• Previous experience of commercial finance, business case development and pricing strategies
• Previous experience of analysing, reporting and interpreting financial information in commercial scenarios
• Systems improvement experience
• Ability to work in a proactive, independent and dynamic way
