Our Client

Our client is a well-known international not-for-profit organisation delivering impactful programmes across multiple regions worldwide. They are embarking on a significant finance transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Transformation Consultation to lead the design and delivery of a future-fit finance operating model.

This is a high-profile opportunity to shape finance processes, systems, and ways of working within a complex, mission-driven organisation.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading an end-to-end finance transformation programme, focusing on people, processes, governance, and technology.
  • Reviewing existing finance operations to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Designing and implementing a future-state finance operating model aligned to organisational strategy.
  • Managing the selection, procurement, and implementation of a new finance system.
  • Driving process redesign and standardisation across finance activities.
  • Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across finance and the wider organisation to build consensus and deliver change.
  • Ensuring robust programme governance, risk management, and delivery against project milestones.
  • Supporting change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience leading a full end-to-end finance transformation programme, rather than solely delivering a systems implementation.
  • Strong expertise in finance operating model design, process improvement, and organisational change.
  • Demonstrable experience managing finance systems selection and implementation projects.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Experience working within complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and funding streams.
  • Ideally, experience within the international development, charity, NGO, or grant-funded sector.
  • A strong understanding of grants, restricted funding, programme delivery environments, and multi-currency operations would be highly advantageous.
  • The ability to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity, and maintain momentum within a challenging transformation environment.

What's on Offer?

  • An exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact finance transformation programme with significant organisational visibility.
  • An assignment expected to run for approximately 18 months.
  • Competitive day rate salary of Β£300-500 per day
  • Hybrid working opportunities available - 1-2 days on site per week
