Our Client
Mackie Myers has partnered with an established Oxford based business to appoint a Finance Analyst to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a collaborative organisation, working closely with finance and operational teams and gaining broad exposure across financial analysis, reporting and planning.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will play an important role in providing financial insight and analysis to support business performance and decision-making. You will work across a range of reporting, planning and analytical activities, helping to ensure the business has clear, accurate and timely financial information.
Main Duties
- Prepare regular financial analysis and management information
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Produce reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders
- Review financial performance and identify key trends and variances
- Work closely with finance and wider business teams to understand performance
- Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools
- Provide analysis to support commercial and operational decisions
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects and business analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and financial information
- Support the wider finance team with ongoing analysis and reporting requirements
The Successful Candidate
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Previous experience within FP&A, financial analysis or commercial finance
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience working within an international or multi-entity environment would be advantageous
- Analytical and commercially aware with good attention to detail
- Confident communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Able to work collaboratively across different areas of the business
- Comfortable working with stakeholders across different functions and locations
