Our Client, Mackie Myers, is a fast-growing, independent recruitment partner operating across London, Oxford, Cambridge and Los Angeles. We work with high-impact organisations across the Commercial and Not-For-Profit sectors, specialising in Finance, Operations and Executive-level talent. Founded in 2021 by long-standing business partners Jenna Mackie and Owen Myers, the business has grown organically to 30 people, generating £8m+ in annual turnover and already placing us in the top 20% of UK recruitment firms by scale and sales. We’re proud of what we’ve built, but we’re even more excited about what’s next. Our ambition is bold, our growth plans are significant, and we’re investing in ambitious people who want to grow with the business and play a genuine part in shaping its future.

The Role: You’ve graduated, you’ve got some experience under your belt, and you’re ready for your next move. Perhaps you’ve spent the last 1–2 years in a sales, recruitment, customer-facing or commercial role and have started to understand what you’re good at. Now you’re looking for somewhere you can develop those skills further, take on more responsibility and have a much bigger impact on your career and earnings. At Mackie Myers, you’ll join our London office as a 360° Recruitment Consultant, managing the full recruitment lifecycle across your own market. You’ll work closely with experienced recruiters and senior leaders, building relationships with clients and candidates, winning new business and developing your own revenue-generating desk. This isn’t about starting again. It’s about taking the experience you already have and accelerating it.

Main Duties: You’ll have ownership from an early stage, supported by structured training, experienced colleagues and ongoing mentorship. Your role will include:

  • Developing new business and building long-term client relationships
  • Identifying, sourcing and headhunting high-quality talent
  • Managing candidate and client relationships throughout the recruitment process
  • Running meetings, understanding hiring needs and advising clients
  • Negotiating offers and managing the commercial process
  • Building and managing your own revenue-generating desk
  • Developing a strong understanding of your chosen market
  • Contributing ideas and taking ownership of your own success

Recruitment is a genuinely entrepreneurial career. You’ll have the opportunity to build something of your own within a business that is still growing rapidly. Progression at Mackie Myers is driven by performance, not time served. If you’re ambitious and consistently deliver, there’s no ceiling on where your career can go or what you can earn.

The Successful Candidate: This role is aimed at someone who has already had their first taste of working life and is now looking for their next challenge. You’ll likely have:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in recruitment, sales, business development, customer success or another commercial/customer-facing environment
  • A track record of working towards targets, KPIs or measurable outcomes
  • Confidence communicating with a range of people, both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to build relationships and influence others
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach and the ability to manage your own workload
  • An interest in business, people and how organisations grow

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who wants to progress. You’ll be ambitious, resilient and commercially minded, with the confidence to pick up the phone, build relationships and go after opportunities. You don’t need to have everything figured out yet. What matters is that you’re hungry to learn, willing to take ownership and want your next role to give you significantly more opportunity than your first. If you’re looking for a business where you can make an impact, earn well, progress quickly and be surrounded by people who genuinely want you to succeed, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s on offer?

  • Competitive basic salary + uncapped commission
  • Unlimited annual leave
  • 4-day working week in the office (Monday–Thursday)
  • Flexible benefits including private healthcare and Heka
  • Team incentives, rewards and regular social events
  • Direct mentorship from senior recruiters with a proven track record of developing high performers and future leaders
  • Clear progression based on performance
  • The opportunity to build and own your own revenue-generating desk
  • The chance to join a growing, independent business where your ideas and contribution genuinely matter
