We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Control Manager to join our team in Colchester on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for a confident credit professional who can hit the ground running, manage a credit control function effectively, and support the business during a period of change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt
- Oversee customer credit limits and perform regular credit risk assessments
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
- Handle escalated or complex debt queries and disputes
- Produce regular reporting on debtor days, aged debt, and cash flow
- Review and improve credit control processes and policies where appropriate
- Support month-end processes and provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required
About You
- Proven experience in a Credit Control Manager role with team management experience
- Strong knowledge of credit control best practices and risk management
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience
