MacKenzie King are recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant on a 6-month fixed term contract, to join an established and growing business in the Colchester area. This role supports the wider finance team and is ideal for someone with previous experience in a varied accounting position who is confident working to month end deadlines.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
  • Support month end processes including postings, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Review general ledger entries and flag discrepancies
  • Process and review corporate expenses, petty cash and credit card spend
  • Assist in maintaining fixed asset records and capital expenditure reporting
  • Provide cost analysis and supporting schedules as needed
  • Support internal and external reporting requirements
  • Provide cover for other team members as required
