- Payroll Manager for an established organisation in Suffolk. As
Payroll Manager you will take ownership of the payroll function, managing the end-to-end payroll process across multiple entities and acting as the key point of contact for all payroll-related queries.
This role offers hybrid working, with 1-2 days per week in the office based in Suffolk.
- Key tasks and responsibilities
- Manage the end to end payroll process across two entities.
- Coordinate payroll month end and year-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, pensions, HMRC requirements, and data protection regulations.
- Act as the main point of contact for employee payroll, pension, tax, and National Insurance queries.
- Manage BACS payment processing and payroll approvals.
- Oversee starters, leavers, pension administration, P11Ds, and payroll journals.
- Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and controls.
- Provide support to wider finance activities as required.
Qualifications and experience
- Proven experience in a Payroll Manager or senior payroll position.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, pensions, and statutory payments.
- Experience managing end-to-end payroll processes with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.
- Experience using payroll systems and driving process improvements.
