MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a well-known, reputable company in Norwich. As the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function, delivering accurate and timely financial information to aid strategic decision making. Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider management team, you will provide insightful analysis, ensure robust financial reporting, and contribute to driving business performance and efficiencies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and forecasts
  • Analysis of variances against budget, forecast and prior periods, with clear and concise commentary
  • Providing cover for Finance Assistants and supporting their ongoing development
  • Supporting the Finance Manager and management team with cost analysis and financial insight
  • Assisting with the production of the annual budget
  • Reviewing and improving reports and processes to maximise efficiencies
  • Undertaking any other accounting duties as reasonably required

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Part qualified and actively studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Previous experience within a finance role
  • A professional and proactive approach, with strong commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability with confidence in interpreting data
  • Highly organised with excellent numerical skills and advanced Excel capability
