- Payroll Manager for an established organisation in Suffolk. As
Payroll Manager you will take ownership of the payroll function, managing the end-to-end payroll process across multiple entities and acting as the key point of contact for all payroll-related queries.
This role offers hybrid working, with 1-2 days per week in the office based in Suffolk.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage the end to end payroll process across two entities.
Coordinate payroll month end and year-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, pensions, HMRC requirements, and data protection regulations.
Act as the main point of contact for employee payroll, pension, tax, and National Insurance queries.
Manage BACS payment processing and payroll approvals.
Oversee starters, leavers, pension administration, P11Ds, and payroll journals.
Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and controls.
Provide support to wider finance activities as required.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a Payroll Manager or senior payroll position.
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, pensions, and statutory payments.
Experience managing end-to-end payroll processes with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.
Experience using payroll systems and driving process improvements.
