A fast‑moving, high‑volume FMCG organisation is seeking an exceptional Transport Manager to lead, optimise and evolve their UK primary transport network. This is a pivotal, specialist role at the heart of a complex supply chain, managing the movement of stock from factories into national warehouses, partnering with major 3PLs, and driving performance across safety, service, cost and sustainability.

What will you be doing?
- Leading primary ambient transport operations across multiple product categories.
- Managing external transport partners and driving performance, governance and service excellence.
- Identifying optimisation opportunities across flows, capacity, routes, loadfill and cost.
- Supporting long‑term network strategy, transport innovation and future‑fit ways of working.
- Working cross‑functionally with planning, warehousing, procurement, finance and customer teams.
- Representing the transport agenda with internal stakeholders and major customers.
- Championing sustainability, data‑driven decision making and continuous improvement.
- Line managing one direct report while shaping best practice standards across the wider team.
Who are we looking for?
- Strong operational expertise in UK transport (ambient, chilled, fresh or frozen).
- Experience managing 3PL relationships and influencing external partners.
- Confident handling complexity and volume in FMCG, retail or large‑scale logistics environments.
- Financially literate with strong commercial acumen and cost‑to‑serve understanding.
