A well known FMCG company is seeking a National Account Manager to manage a key Grocery Mult/Retailer and Distributor for Ireland but based out of the Head Office near Manchester. This is a hands-on role where you have the opportunity to work both commercially in the detail on P&L's and range reviews with a major Grocery Mult but also to build relationships and influence the distributor.

Key accountabilities:

  • To drive the annual achievement of sales and profit targets, along with key strategic objectives, by managing the product range and P&L — with a strong focus on cost pricing, distribution, promotional planning, and in-store visibility.
  • To develop and implement strategic market plans aimed at achieving long-term profitable growth, with a strong focus on fostering collaborative, results-driven relationships with key distributors and external partners.

A great candidate will have:

  • Great commercial grip and evidence of delivering long term sustainable growth.
  • Previous branded account management experience, responsible for the entire customer cycle from plan development, through to negotiation and delivery.
  • The ability to influence others and build powerful partnerships to make things happen at pace.
  • First class negotiation, selling and presentation skills.
