A leading global FMCG business is hiring a Head of Business Insights & Category Development to lead the transformation of its insights, data and category agenda across GB&I. This is a high-impact leadership role within Commercial Excellence, designed to strengthen how the business uses consumer, shopper, category and performance insight to drive sharper commercial decisions and sustainable growth.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional category or insights role. You will lead the shift from internally focused, P&L-led decision making to a more externally informed, insight-led business model. The role offers the opportunity to shape a growing function, influence senior leaders, and embed category and business insights at the heart of planning and investment decisions.
Accountabilities
- Lead Business Insights and Category Development across GB&I
- Build a connected data and insight ecosystem across consumer, shopper, customer and market data
- Define and embed Category Vision, growth drivers and opportunity areas
- Translate insight into clear actions across portfolio, pricing, innovation and channels
- Build and develop a growing team, raising capability and organisational maturity

A Great Candidate Will Look Like
- Proven experience in FMCG, beverages or consumer goods
- Background in Business Insights, Category, Commercial Strategy or Shopper/Consumer Insight
- Proven experience leading transformation, building teams or new capabilities
- Strong strategic and commercial mindset with senior stakeholder influence skills
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and motivated by building best‑in‑class functions
