Links Country Park Hotel is a busy, well-established hotel offering a popular main restaurant and a vibrant Sports Bar kitchen. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality food and consistent service standards to both hotel guests and local customers.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in the day-to-day running of our busy main kitchen and Sports Bar operation. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong kitchen management experience, high standards, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing both the main kitchen and Sports Bar kitchen operations
- Support menu development and daily specials
- Supervise and motivate the kitchen team
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation standards
- Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
- Support rota planning and labour control
- Maintain full compliance with food safety and kitchen Health & Safety regulations
- Step up to lead the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence
About You
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef or senior CDP role within a busy kitchen
- Demonstrable kitchen management experience
- Fully conversant with kitchen Health & Safety and food safety regulations (HACCP)
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure during peak service
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends
- Has a proven great work ethic and reliability
You will work 5 days out of 7 - please note that this does include working weekends and evenings.
