We are looking for detail-oriented, reliable and trustworthy Cleaner to join our client's Pharmaceutical Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all cleaning aspects within a cGMP regulated environment usually in a Clean Room. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to have a higher purpose in the job and work for a stable company with market-leading work benefits. The shift pattern is rotating day shift and afternoon shift, Monday to Friday. You will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of cleanrooms, production areas, and equipment in line with cGMP standards
- Clean floors, walls, ceilings, equipment parts and exteriors, fixtures, and controlled surfaces using approved methods and materials
- Follow validated cleaning procedures and schedules strictly
- Use approved disinfectants and cleaning agents correctly, including rotation schedules
- Adhere to cGMP, SOPs, and site-specific cleaning instructions at all times
- Complete all required cleaning logs, checklists, and documentation accurately and in real time
- Report any deviations, contamination risks, or damaged equipment immediately
- Comply with regulatory requirements (e.g. MHRA, FDA, EMA as applicable)
- Wear required PPE and cleanroom garments correctly at all times
- Follow gowning, hand hygiene, and entry/exit procedures for controlled areas
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH or equivalent regulations
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuum systems, and scrubbers
- Ensure cleaning tools are stored, labelled, and segregated correctly to prevent cross-contamination
Previous Experience
- Previous cleaning experience in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, medical device, food, or healthcare preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
- Good understanding of hygiene and contamination control
- Ability to read and follow written SOPs and complete documentation
- Experience working in cGMP cleanroom environments would be an advantage
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory standards is a bonus
- Basic understanding of validation and audit processes would be helpful
- Computer literate to complete SOPs
