We’re seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team in Scotland. The role will be primarily based in Glasgow but will involve regular travel across UK sites to support operations.

You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, and supporting the implementation of effective safety policies and procedures. Working closely with our HSEQ Manager, the HSE Advisor will help uphold the highest standards in health, safety, quality, and environmental performance—reflecting our core company values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and enforce safe operational procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Perform regular site inspections and audits.
  • Provide in-house training on health and safety practices and risks.
  • Maintain records, report findings, and suggest improvements.
  • Manage incident reporting and conduct investigations.
  • Stay updated on relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Advise on specialist safety areas, including fire regulations and hazardous substances.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Strong technical knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and present it clearly.
  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail.
  • Full driving licence (essential for site visits).
  • IOSH certification (or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015, 45001:2018 & 27001:2013 standards.
  • Previous experience in construction or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices.
