We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our civils team in Inverness. Knowledge of the water industry is desirable.
Job Purpose: The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of projects in order to achieve the required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control that adhere to the Company’s Values.
About the role: The Project Manager will be accountable for all aspects of site delivery across our Regional Frameworks and ensure that projects are delivered in a safe manner, on time, on budget and to the required quality standards. It will be their responsibility to manage the workforce and ensure that the companies’ culture, values, and behaviors are being implemented. The individual fulfilling this role will have a proven track record in overseeing frameworks from “cradle to grave”. They will have an in depth understanding of Framework delivery down to site level and will work within set budgets, ensuring accurate commercial reporting. The Project Manager will support and develop a team of varying skills and experience to ensure that productivity is always maintained onsite. They will work collaboratively to set clear expectations around project delivery and ensure that the work force is motivated, productive & profitable.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the PM will maintain regular communication around the key aspects of site delivery performance, key client correspondence and general areas for improvement & development. The candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to provide clear and concise communication at all levels. This is paramount in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects on site and the successful growth of the business in the North of Scotland.

- Managing multiple frameworks at any one time
- Relationship Management with clients and supply chains

- Maintain regular communication with the projects teams
- Ensuring that the projects remain safe, profitable and efficient
- Challenging incorrect behaviors onsite & escape when required

Experience & knowledge:
- Proven track record in the safe delivery of both individual contracts and programs/frameworks
- Track record of business development and nurturing growth
- Experience in overseeing Subcontractors
- Understanding of Site Safety Requirements
- Job specific knowledge & training i.e., confined space
- Knowledge and experience of working in the water industry
- Basic understanding of Relevant IT Skills i.e., Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Project, Excel.
