The business operates across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors, with a strong reputation for safety, reliability, and technical expertise. With a healthy pipeline of secured work and continued growth, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Estimator.
The Role
- Preparing accurate and competitive tenders for groundwork and RC frame packages
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
- Undertaking take-offs and producing detailed cost plans
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and risk factors
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout the tender process
- Supporting pre‑construction and handover to delivery teams
- Attending site visits and pre‑tender meetings where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience estimating groundworks and reinforced concrete frame projects
- A strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and buildability
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure schemes
- Excellent commercial awareness and cost analysis skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office packages
