An established and well-respected construction contractor specialising in commercial and industrial groundworks and civil engineering projects across the North West. With a strong pipeline of secured work and long-standing client relationships, the business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely, on time and within budget.
Due to continued growth, the company is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of multiple groundworks projects. This is a hands-on role working closely with operational teams, subcontractors and clients, offering excellent exposure across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:- Managing commercial aspects of commercial & industrial groundworks projects
- Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans
- Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accounts
- Valuations, variations and final accounts
- Monitoring costs and ensuring projects remain commercially viable
- Supporting contract administration and commercial reporting
- Working closely with site teams to drive performance and profitability
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, civils or infrastructure
- Experience working on commercial and/or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of cost control, subcontract management and valuations
- Good commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with site and management teams
- Relevant construction or commercial qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Salary of £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
