We are exclusively retained to appoint a General Counsel for a fast‑scaling engineering products and services organisation. Following an MBO, the business is entering a major phase of international expansion and has a standout opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to shape an international legal, governance and compliance function.
You will work closely with the Board and Senior Leadership team, driving a fully integrated legal and compliance agenda across the business. This is a hands‑on, commercially focused role where you’ll lead governance, risk, multi‑jurisdictional compliance, contracting frameworks, external counsel relationships and the development of internal legal capability.
You’ll ensure legal advice lands as clear, practical and commercially balanced guidance that supports pace, ambition and strategic decision‑making. International growth will be front and centre: market entry planning, overseas structures, local operations, trade compliance, sanctions, import/export controls and cross‑border regulatory requirements.
You’ll work closely with Finance, Tax, Operations, HR and Commercial teams to ensure expansion is legally sound, commercially viable and operationally smooth — while also overseeing the drafting and management of customer, supplier, partner, distribution, agency and technology agreements.
This is a high‑impact role with real autonomy, influence and the chance to shape a legal function to support the company's international expansion.
