Make a Real Difference. Become a Support Worker in Milton Keynes. Are you creative, friendly and great to be around? Do you enjoy helping people live their best lives? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity to start a rewarding career supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We are currently looking for a part-time support worker to work 15 hours at weekends. Best of all, no previous experience is necessary. If you have the right attitude, we will provide all the training you need.

Why This Role Matters

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping the people we support (aged 30 to 60) live happy, independent and fulfilling lives. You will be supporting individuals who live in either a six-bedroom house or a three-bedroom bungalow, helping to create a supportive and friendly home environment. No two days are the same. You might be:

  • Joining in with favourite activities such as swimming, bowling, cinema trips, holidays and walks in the park
  • Supporting individuals with cooking, cleaning and everyday household tasks
  • Assisting with personal care and medication when required
  • Spending time chatting, laughing and enjoying shared interests

Both homes are conveniently located next to local shops, a café, a park and a pub, which the people we support enjoy visiting regularly. At home, everyone enjoys relaxing in the sitting room, patio or garden, especially when the sun is shining.

Community Support

We also provide weekly outreach support to Alan, helping him with things like:

  • Doing his weekly shop
  • Batch cooking meals
  • Attending medical appointments

Alan is a huge MK Dons supporter, so if you enjoy football you will have plenty to talk about.

What the People We Support Are Looking For

They have told us they would love someone who is:

  • A good listener
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Encouraging and positive
  • Someone who enjoys having fun and being part of their lives

If that sounds like you, you will fit right in.

Working Hours

You will work on a rota basis, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. Typical shifts include:

  • Early shift: 07:30 to 15:00
  • Late shift: 14:30 to 22:00
